Brooch Solar horse HÉLÈNE LITORELLE
History:
On a silver amphora from Chortomlyk, the 4 century BC, in the image of a winged horse depicted the divine patron of royal Scythians Tagimasad.
Tagimasad embodied the unbridled power of the water principles as a generating element, and also was connected to the worship to the Sun. In the view of the ancient Iranians, the sun as a horse gallops through the vault of heaven, sometimes making stops on the way. Identification of a horse and a bird in mythological sources generated the collective image of a winged horse.
No hunter could catch this fabulous creature. Just approaching it would send the horse spreading its wings and flying to the sky.
The lotus flower depicted in the drawing means the aspiration to the truth, spiritual growth on the path of evolution, peace and tranquility, divinity and rebirth
